Our Sparrow Beginning Wedding story of Rylee and Andrew’s goes back years before the two were a couple. Rylee was a local high school class leader in charge of an upcoming event and contacted us to DJ and provide entertainment and lighting. Rylee was always smiling, always engaged, always appreciative. She was our youngest dream client and it was pretty clear she was destined for a bright future. 

    In college at Oklahoma State, I met Andrew as the social chair for his fraternity. When we first met, it was like I was talking to a friend. We both enjoy traveling, Wimbledon, and of course, a good party. Working together, it was easy to see Andrew was bright and smiling, always engaged, really respectful, and always appreciative. Maybe he was this way because he had met Rylee already. I didn’t know it at the time, but they had already been together for a year.

Throughout their dating years, I would run into Andrew and Rylee at different places across Oklahoma. Football games in Stillwater, date parties or weddings. Once, I saw them at MayFest in Tulsa. It was a really hot Sunday, and they had just come back from Northwest Arkansas, where Andrew is from. Their joy was so refreshing and I remember being so happy that they were enjoying life together.

  In July, we had an inquiry email from Rylee’s mom, Rikki. Even before Andrew was going to propose, Rylee’s mom wanted to be sure we were part of their wedding!! What an honor! I was so humbled to be invited. They could’ve had anybody, and they trusted us!! This was a wedding, a couple, and a marriage I wanted to honor and celebrate!  But it was NOT OFFICIAL!! He hadn’t even proposed and Rylee was clueless. I agreed, of course, and sure enough, Andrew couldn’t wait for September and proposed in late August.

    During their engagement, meeting them was so much fun. They knew what they wanted and worked together so preparing and rehearsing was easier for all of us, which made it better for their big day. Gentlemen – Read that again! 

  Their day arrives, the weather is perfect and the Sparrow Beginnings wedding venue looks beautiful inside and out. Rylee and Andrew’s ceremony was sweet and sincere, full of bright smiles, words and prayers, and a presence that made everyone feel like they were part of a uniquely beautiful moment.  And do you know what happens when people feel like that?

    They dance!!!  After the ceremony, this Sparrow Beginning wedding was full of well wishes, gifts and heartfelt toasts. The guests laughed, danced, and stayed until the very end. Then, in true Oklahoma State fashion, they went to Murphy’s for an after-party.  

 For Andrew and Rylee, It has been the start of many incredible life accomplishments. With undergrad and law school behind them, these two have worked and lived all over the US, and it’s a joy to watch them build their life together. It’s safe to say the best is yet to come.
